Rapport is built so that your conversations stay with you. This page explains exactly what leaves your device and why.
Offline mode
Speech is recognized and translated on your device with Apple's speech recognition and translation. Nothing is sent to us.
Online mode
While you are listening online, your audio is streamed to our speech recognition provider (Soniox) through a short-lived key issued by our server, and the recognized text is sent to an AI translation service to refine the translation. Our server does not store your audio or the content of your conversations.
Your account
Online features need Sign in with Apple. We store the identifier Apple gives us, your email address if you share it, the online time you use each month, and the App Store transaction IDs of your purchases so your membership works on all your devices.
On your device
Conversation history, recordings, your glossary and AI summaries are stored only on your device. Summaries are made by Apple Intelligence on the device. Deleting a conversation deletes it for good.
Purchases
Subscriptions, passes and hour packs are sold and processed by Apple. We never receive your payment details.
No tracking
Rapport has no advertising, no analytics SDKs and no tracking across apps or websites.
Deleting your account
In Settings › Account, tap Delete Account. Your account and sign-in records are removed from our server. Cancel any subscription in your App Store account settings.
